I was in a Tempest parody this summer, and we used a clip of the 1908 silent film in the production. The director showed it to us in rehearsal and it instantly amazed me. It's one of those pieces of film that makes you think the first people that saw it in 1908 must have been terrified. They must have thought the filmmakers were sorcerers.
Anyway, I think that you, as a lover of film and Shakespeare, would get a kick out of it.
