Just to be clear, this is the upcoming sequel to the Wicker Man. That's the original British Wicker Man, not the American remake starring Nicolas "NOT THE BEES" Cage. It's from the original director, and has Christopher Lee returning. So while it's less likely to become another YouTube sensation, it might actually be good. Here's hoping.

Hanna
Few movie trailers take me by surprise any more. Usually by the time I get around to seeing a movie all the previews are for something I'm not interested in at all, or something that is already on my radar. So I was pleasantly surprised to see this trailer for Hanna in front of Black Swan the other night. Hanna looks so very cool I can't believe I haven't been reading about it online for months already.
Can't wait to see it!

"Legion" Makes Armageddon Fun Again
Legion could do for Armageddon what Slither did for alien apocalypse:
You had me at "demon granny gets blasted off ceiling with shotgun."

La Moustache
I just put this at the top of my Netflix queue:
Leave it to the French to construct an intense cinematic thriller about a man who shaves his moustache. This is why movies exist.

Moon
I love a good, brainy sci-fi film of the things-don't-blow-up variety. Unfortunately they just don't come out very frequently in this country. Movies like Primer and Solaris are few and far between, while abominations like Transformers spawn entire franchises. So I'm encouraged by the new trailer for Moon:
I love Sam Rockwell, and he's quite capable of carrying a movie by himself (especially if there are two of him). Moon looks like it will have some similarities with Solaris, which I think is an underrated film. I'm really looking forward to this one.
It has a great poster too:

New Star Trek Trailer = !!!
Click the HD button to watch the good quality version:
This looks better with every preview. Easily my most anticipated movie of the year, so far.

New Watchmen Trailer
I look forward to this with extreme apprehension. The comedian looks great. Everything else...
Doctor Manhattan looks great until he starts talking. That voice just doesn't match at all. He is such an otherworldly character, hearing some regular dude's voice coming out of him is just strange. Also, Rorschach has Christian Bale's Batman voice apparently. It's not terrible, but considering how central his character is to the movie it could get old real fast.
The visuals look crisp. But everything almost looks too good. It seems to lack the grittiness of the comic. I have some other minor quibbles, but this movie is really going to sink or swim on the story adaptation. I'm trying to remain neutral. I'm just not sure if a good adaptation is possible.
